Is this blur PDF tool really free with no upload?
Yes. Your PDF is rendered, blurred, and rebuilt entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas. Open DevTools → Network tab while using it: you will see zero file requests, because no file ever leaves your device.
Is blurring a PDF permanent?
Blur mode burns the blurred pixels into the exported PDF — the original text cannot be recovered from the output file. Blackout mode permanently replaces the area with an opaque box. Both are permanent, not overlays that can be removed in a PDF editor.
Can I blur or redact multiple PDF files at once?
Batch processing of multiple files is on the Pro roadmap ($9 one-time when it launches). The free tier handles one file at a time with up to 25 pages.
Does it work offline?
After the page loads once, the tool works without an internet connection — ideal if you need to redact PDFs offline on a plane or a restricted network.
